Grape Varieties : Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan.
Soil Type : The vine is planted on steep slope schist, oriented full south.
Plantation Density : 4500 Vines to the hectare.
Yield : 45 hl / ha. If necessary a selective pruning is used to reduce the yield.
Type of culture : Environment friendly culture.
Vinification : As indicated by it’s name, ancestral traditions are used in the culture and fermentation. The crop is vatted after a plot selection and sorting of the grapes. Fermentation lasts between 15 and 20 days during which the musts are worked by pumping over.
Maturing : 8 months in concrete vats. No fining. Light filtering before bottling.
Packaging : Bordelaise Élégance 750 ml bottles. Technical stopper.
May be aged : 3 to 5 years.
SOMMELIER'S APPRECIATION
Its robe is dark red supported by ruby reflections.
On the nose, this wine has scents of red fruit enhanced by fine leather aromas mixed with notes of undergrowth.
On the mouth, the schist terroir is expressed combining roundness and structure giving the wine a friendly side.
